Baptism certificate policy

At any time after registration, an admin may ask you to submit a baptism certificate. Members who don't upload it within 7 days of the request will have their subscription cancelled without refund. Verified members earn a "Verified Christian" badge under their photo.

We honour every Christian tradition . Members are not allowed to put down another church, rite, or community. Disagreements about doctrine are normal; contempt for fellow Christians is not, and it's grounds for removal.

Why do you only recommend marriage within baptized Christian families?

Shamaya exists to help Iraqi Christians build a Christian home. Our matching and recommendations are designed for members from baptized Christian families so that faith, sacraments, and the upbringing of future children are shared from day one. Anyone is welcome to read our story — but the community itself is built around this purpose.

Does this mean other faiths aren't respected?

Other faiths and people are absolutely respected. Disrespect toward any religion or person is not tolerated on Shamaya. Recommending marriage within baptized Christian families is about who this specific community is for — not a judgement of anyone outside it.

How is this enforced?

Every profile is reviewed by an admin before it goes live, and members agree to our Community Guidelines at sign-up. Sectarian remarks, harassment, or pressuring someone to convert results in removal — without refund.
